Who We Are

1998 was the Horizon music band’s founding year with about 8 members. For over 22 years we have provided music in styles such as classic, hip-pop, slow rock, and DJ and completed thousands of outdoor concerts. In addition, we have provided music for many popular singers in Sri Lanka. The songs we sang to the audience with different variations led us to win first place in various competitions and ITN Rantharu held in 2006, was one of the highlighting phases in our band history as we were the best out of 800 bands. DJ-style compositions performed by us is loved by our audience for decades causing us to be famous all around in Sri Lanka.

Our strat ran for decades as we started as Horizon in early 1998 and held its first concert on 22.12.1998 at Town Hall Polgahawela. Manoj Ranathunga and Onila Nishantha were the founding members & 4 classmates who used to be talented singers and musicians together were the pioneers of our history. Here we are in 2023 still performing our best for our loving audience all around the world under the leadership of great musician R M W M K Ranathunga.
